Empty Bowl Meditation

Void Bowl Meditation (Kevala Kumbhak)

Sit serenely and discreetly with palms up and open, put on knees, similar to purge bowls. Open the mouth marginally and contact the tongue to the top of the mouth, behind the front teeth. Focus on the breath. Allow the lungs to inhale with no work on your part. Breath is object of mindfulness. Essentially watch the development of breath. As you are watching the development of your breath, focus on the tip of your nose. Simply know about the hint of air going into the nose. Cool air going in, warm air emerging. Sit along these lines, unobtrusively, noticing breath, for around 5 minutes.

Following 5 minutes, follow the breath. Go with the air into the nose, throat, heart, stomach, where it counts into the midsection behind the gut button, where you will encounter a characteristic stop. Remain in this stop for a negligible part of a second, then, at that point, follow the breath on exhalation, as it switches its course up from the gut behind the stomach, heart, throat, out through the nose. furthermore, out of the body to around 9″ before the nose to a subsequent stop.

The principal stop is behind the gut button, the subsequent stop is outside the body in space. At these two stops, breath stops. At these two stops, time stops. Development of breath is time. In these two stops, just presence is available. In these two stops you are encircled by harmony and love. In these stops, God is available. In these stops you become like an unfilled bowl. The second you become like a vacant bowl, the heavenly lips can contact you. God will look for you and empty beatitude into you. Allow the lungs to inhale and you become the vacant bowl. Practice this contemplation for 15 minutes toward the beginning of the day and at night. As you practice this contemplation, over the course of the days, weeks, months, you will carve out your opportunity in the stops normally drawing out until in the long run inward and external will converge at the third eye and all that will occur inside you.

You may likewise rehearse this reflection in a prostrate position.
